Hippo or
Hippopotamus, classified as Hippopotamus amphibius, is indigenous only to Africa. It can grow to lengths over 16 feet, but because of its short legs only reaches heights around five feet. The hippopotamus is a semi-aquatic animal. It spends the day swimming in search of food and eating aquatic vegetation that it finds. When grazing the hippopotamus skims along the surface of rivers with only its eyes, ears and nose peeking above the water.
Rhino or White Rhinoceros is found primarily in south Africa. It is one of the largest land animals. has a large body and short stocky legs. The rhinoceros is an herbivore, and uses its horns to dig up the vegetation that it eats. Rhinoceroses are primarily solitary animals, but may graze in smaller herds in grassy areas. The horn is actually comprised of agglutinated keratin, or a mass of hair protein.
